Cellular PVC Vinyl Mailbox Posts

Cellular PVC vinyl mailbox posts are among the most durable in the industry, and it’s why we have so many options with them. They’re completely weather resistant and won’t rust or corrode over the years, and they don’t need any maintenance or upkeep each season.

Our maintenance-free mailbox posts are a great investment that not only enhances the aesthetics of your property but also stands the test of time. With easy installation, these posts offer a win-win solution for long-lasting satisfaction.

Poly-Woodgrain Mailbox Posts

While cellular PVC vinyl mailbox posts are our tried-and-true classic, poly-woodgrain mailbox posts offer another durable and dependable option for you to pick from. Our poly-woodgrain mailbox posts come in ivory, gray, chestnut, and brown and last a lifetime.

These mailbox posts won’t crack, rot, or fade. This ensures they’ll look just as good in a few years as the day you installed them. Please keep in mind our poly-woodgrain mailbox posts sit over a pressure treated 4” x 4”, which does not come with our posts.

Tons of Color Options

It doesn’t matter if you choose a cellular PVC vinyl or a poly-woodgrain mailbox post, when you get an Amish mailbox post from Royal Crowne you get a ton of color options to pick from.

Whether you want to go with classic white or spruce things up a bit with a different color, Royal Crowne has everything you need to make it happen.

FAQ

If you’re looking at getting a new mailbox post from Royal Crowne you’re bound to have a few questions. We understand, so we decided to answer some of the most frequently asked questions for you here.

  • How Do You Install a Mailbox Post?

The first thing you need to do when installing a mailbox post is get a 4” x 4” x 7" piece of pressure-treated lumber and install it two to three feet into the ground. Use cement to hold it in place, then simply install one of Royal Crownes mailbox posts on top of it!

Ensure once you have the mailbox post in the ground that the mailbox height meets  USPS standards, otherwise you might need to head back out to adjust the height a bit!

If you need help during any of the installation any of our dealers would love to help you out or point you in the right direction, so reach out today!

  • Can You Put Cement Inside a Mailbox Post?

If you’re replacing your mailbox post because someone damaged it, it can be tempting to try and come up with new ways to ensure nothing happens to the new post. But while a cement post filled with cement can help protect the post from damage, it’s dangerous and illegal in many areas.

Before you fill up your mailbox post with cement you need to check out the local laws and reach out to your postmaster for further guidance.

  • How Deep Should You Install a Mailbox Post?

At a minimum you should install a mailbox post two feet into the ground, but if you can install it three feet down you’ll get even more durability. The farther you install it into the ground the more stable it will be during inclement weather and the longer it will last.

When installing mailbox posts into the ground we highly recommend using something concrete to help hold it in place before you start covering it back up.

  • How Tall Should a Mailbox Post Be?

The USPS states that all mailboxes need to stand between 41 and 45 inches off the ground and stand between 6 to 8 inches back from the curb. If you don’t have a raised curb outside your property reach out to your local postmaster for further guidance.

You need to install the mailbox post in a way that allows you to install the mailbox itself to the right height, and all the mailbox posts from Royal Crowne ensure you have plenty of space to install them into the ground without putting the mailbox too high or too low.
